Bringing Healthcare to Your Door

Dr. Berry provides comprehensive healthcare for cats and dogs in the comfort of their own homes. This ranges from wellness care, including vaccinations, to the treatment of many illnesses and injuries, to compassionate end-of-life assistance.

Her primary focus is palliative care for geriatric pets — enriching and improving the lives of senior family members by making them more comfortable.

These services are available on weekdays during business hours within specific regions of the greater Austin area. Please contact Dr. Berry to see if you live in her service area.

A housecall charge is incurred with each visit to your home, in addition to standard fees for exams and other services. The housecall fee is determined by the location of your home.

Dr. Berry is not currently taking new patients except for end-of-life care.

Hospice and end-of-life

During the final phases of a pet’s life, their family may need help deciding if and when it is time for euthanasia. A home visit can be beneficial in this regard. Seeing your cat or dog in his or her home environment allows the doctor to evaluate the individual needs and challenges of each pet. She can then provide more informed advice about quality of life and end of life decisions.

If euthanasia is not yet indicated, hospice care may be appropriate. This is supportive care which focuses on

comfort and quality of life rather than cure. The goal is to relieve patients of pain and other symptoms, so that

they can live each day as comfortably as possible.

Making these decisions about someone you love deeply is difficult and painful. Dr. Berry can provide knowledgeable

guidance, compassionate care, honesty and love to help you in this journey.

Dr. Berry travels throughout Austin and the surrounding communities. Fees vary depending upon your location.

Home Euthanasia and Cremation

Dr. Berry specializes in gentle end of life assistance for beloved cats and dogs. When it’s time to say goodbye, she can help with humane euthanasia in the privacy of your home, where you and your pet can be most comfortable.

Her mission is to make this last experience together as loving, peaceful, and stress-free as possible for both pet and

family. All pets are fully sedated with a subcutaneous injection prior to euthanasia in order to achieve this goal. After your loved one drifts off to sleep, the euthanasia injection is given painlessly in a vein.

Dr. Berry travels throughout Austin and the surrounding communities of Dripping Springs, Buda, Manchaca, Bee Cave, Westlake Hills, Rollingwood, Lakeway and Spicewood. She can occasionally travel to other parts of the greater Austin area if time allows. Appointments are Monday through Friday during business hours. Fees vary depending upon your location. For urgent situations, evening and weekend appointments can sometimes be arranged for an additional fee.

After your pet has been euthanized, Dr. Berry can help make the next part of the process easier for you by facilitating cremation services. She will transport your pet with dignity and respect to a crematorium for either communal or private cremation. If you choose private cremation, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you. There is an additional fee for cremation services, which can vary depending upon the size of your pet.

Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.
